The mind dictates the health
and actions of the body.

Including the mind in a comprehensive approach to maintaining good health includes increasing self-responsibility for wellness, healthy lifestyle choices, health-promoting diet and a positive mental attitude.

We don’t have to be scientists to have witnessed people who suffer from stress, cannot cope and who become depressed, this depression very soon effects and destroys their physical health. Remove the stress source, their depression vanishes and they start to get physically better.

The body and mind are interconnected and emotions play a big part in determining one’s health status. Stress and its negative effect on the immune system remains the major challenge to good health

Research has shown that the negative emotions of anger, frustration and fear cause disorder in the autonomic nervous system (ANS) and the positive emotions of care, appreciation and love create harmony in ANS, increase the efficiency of the heart and boost the immune system

We have all seen people who are depressed become chronically ill

However, if a person gets sick but maintains their positive mental attitude and recognises what they are doing wrong, they will recover their body health quickly.

Things like, sadness, fear, love, anger, joy, hope, stress, wants, needs and happiness, all start in our brain, the seat of our thoughts, and they all effect our bodily health.

While serious research is just beginning and it will be many years before proof one way or the other is established there appears to be a very firm link between bodily health and mental health, and the possibility of using the mind to help cure the body. Exciting stuff.

We are all each responsible for our own mental attitude; if we are negative we normally are argumentative, irritable, listless and tired, and, miserable. No fun to be around. While the person with a positive mental attitude is bright, cheerful, energetic is fun to be around. This shows that good mental health does affect our bodily health.

I know that it is very hard sometimes to restore ones mental health, but, help is at hand. Each year many hundreds of books are written on the subject of improving a persons thinking process. This can only be done by the person themselves.

These can be obtained at all libraries, or, can be purchased for a few dollars and then you have them for all time to refer too and learn from.

Renowned authors like: Jim Rohn, Dennis Waitley, Napoleon Hill, Og Mandino, Maxwell Maltz, Robert Kiyosaki, Susan Jeffers, to name but a few, have all produced some great books which will help.

A good dose of one of these authors, and others like them, is not only pleasant, it is very rewarding from what you will learn, and, will keep the mind in good health.

A funny thing I have noticed in life. ALL the successful people, the people who are achieving things and helping others achieve, have a teacher or mentor that they go to regularly. The non achievers have no-one to help and guide them. If you want to lock into one of the best Teachers or Mentors in the business the man to contact is Jim Rohn.
